Things have been kinda busy, then when I wanted to post, my internet is down at home...so I can't win for losing. I will update you with the really important things going on.
1. A couple weeks ago I had a possible cancer scare. I went to the doctor for a chest cold, and he summoned my last chest xray that was done the end of August just to make sure my lungs were looking okay. He called me back a few days later and said that I had a mass in my liver, and I needed to have more testing to determine if it was cancerous. So, after a lot of waiting and worrying and being scared to death, everything is perfectly fine. Apparently the original scan had an artifact or shadow, and there was nothing there to begin with. Talk about relief.
2. My cousin and her best friend surprised me with a ticket to the Blue October concert in Grand Prairie (Dallas) on November 2nd. We left Galveston Friday morning, and drove back home after the concert was over. What a crazy long day. But we had a great time and the bands were amazing, so I could not have asked for more. Except for old times when we were all back at Trees on the front row of Chomsky, Gravitating around....those were the days.
3. I am leaving the day after Thanksgiving to spend about 8 days with my aunt in South Dakota. We have some pretty fun stuff planned, so that should be some good times. Gambling, wineries, Mount Rushmore, gambling. You get the picture.
Anyway, I am at Rob's right now bogarting his computer. The tech is supposed to be at my place tomorrow night to fix my internet, so hopefully I will see you all again soon. |

| Guadalupe River Trip 2007?? |

I know we had planned a river trip at least once (maybe more), and never got to go.
So, here is the thing. I REALLY want to go this year, for sure. Are any of you interested, and if so, when would you like to go?
I was thinking like the end of July or first of August. So, those of us that can not tolerate really cold water should be better than going at the first of the summer.
If you are really serious about going, please put your two cents in here. If you will more than likely flake out at the last minute, please move on. (Not that anoyone in the past had done that, I ended up in the hospital one year, so I am not pointing any fingers...) I would just hate to make plans around someone that is never really intending to go.
So, have at it. I know the plan last time was to stay in Austin, and drive there for the day on Saturday. So, that option may work, or we can camp there on the river.

| Long overdue update... |

Just wanted to let everyone know I am still alive, and things are going well.
Work is still amazing, and going as well as I could hope.
I am updating from my friends new 20" iMac (amaxing), as my computer is really on the fritz. I think the connector for the power supply is failing, and I am not sure it can be fixed. So, I may be out of a computer until I am able to afford one again. So we will have to see.
I am going to Austin (Lockhart) next month, so I am excited about that, then Mardi Gras is after that. Then my birthday blowout in March. So, all in all, things are moving along.
Guess that is pretty much it for now. |

| Being sick for New Years SUCKS!! |

So, I have not been feeling above the weather recently. Today is the first day I have gone out of my house since Saturday morning. Good thing I have tomorrow off as well, so I can hopefully get tons better by Wednesday, time to go back to work.
We are getting ready to watch The Shining on the big screen in the Media room at Phi Chi in a bit... can't wait!! |

So, I have been in Florida since Saturday, and everything is going okay so far. Got a call yesterday, and I need to report to San Antonio on Sunday to work there next week. So, I will be flying in from Florida Saturday night, and driving to SA on Sunday.
Just wanted to report that all is well as of now. |
